Human Sexuality Starts Next Week

Lots of kids haven't handed in their human sexuality forms.  We are missing 18 from our class of 30, so if you haven't seen the form come home there will be a school messenger later today with the form attached.

Homework: Read for 20 minutes per night. Daily Learning: Daily 5 continued as usual. We just finished our persuasive writing unit, and in math we looked at volume of 3D shapes this week, culminating in students building a sculpture out of base ten blocks and calculating the volume that their sculpture takes up, and it's value if it were made out of precious metals-we had a sculpture called gold mountain that would have cost almost 7,000,000 if it were to be actually made out of gold. Today we learned why Mentos and Diet Coke isn't a chemical reaction even though it lets off carbon dioxide and baking soda and vinegar is a chemical reaction because it lets off carbon dioxide.
